Hi Everyone!! 

img_7998-copyI am Subham, born and brought up in Hazaribagh (Jharkhand) in India. A media planner by profession but now a full time mother and housewife after I shifted to Lisbon,Portugal. Cooking was always my hobby which turned into a passion after I became a mother. My everyday struggle to cook recipes for my son that are tasty and healthy at the same time made me an experimental cook. He loves whatever I cook for him.

My cooking endeavor began after I shifted to Bangalore where I was working for a media company. I used to stay with my brother. I used to make him eat whatever I cooked, some of which he liked and some he didn’t. His support and criticism improved my cooking skills. After marriage, I shifted to Ahmedabad. My experiments in the kitchen continued and I was fortunate to have a husband who not only appreciated my efforts but also provided valuable feedback encouraging me to always do better. At times we spent time cooking together.

My interest in cooking kept growing with time and I started to think of sharing my experiences with people. Appreciation from friends who tasted my food and their willingness to learn my recipes further strengthened my confidence and seriously made me think of sharing my ideas. In 2013 we shifted to Lisbon. We tried many Indian restaurants here, but most of them were disappointing. I used to regret most of the times after I had been to an Indian restaurant in Lisbon. It always felt better to cook at home. I started watching videos of various recipes and browsed through websites of popular chefs to learn new recipes and tried reproducing them at home. I could quickly reproduce some, whereas for others I had to repeat few a times. But every time I learned something new which further improved my skills.

After more than two years of my learning and experimentation in Lisbon, I thought of sharing my recipes and experiences through this website. This website provides you recipes direct from my kitchen. The list of recipes include Indian cuisines and other continental dishes, some of which have been presented with a little twist. I have tried to keep my recipes very simple such that it is easy to reproduce.
